The Crafts of the Ingkyagu

As noted earlier virtually all crafts-- certainly all traditional crafts-- are the province of the ingkyagu. Most importantly, these are the fabrication of iron objects and pottery. However, these pictures are of some of their lesser skills, leather work and basketry. In the latter case it is a drinking basket, which ingkyagu carry with them to beer markets, since, as caste members, they will not drink from the gourds provided by the mbilim beer sellers and from which others drink.
